Remember when one of the biggest bread brands went out of stock during the early days of Malaysia Movement Control Order back in 2020?
Well, it became a hit news everywhere – on social media, on TV, the newspapers and so on. And I bet most of us know about chasing the bread lorry story. Let’s not forget the countless memes on this too. Our favorite was the Too Fast, Too Furious version: Pass sini dulu roti Gardenia tu, pass walau sebungkus.
It’s funny right, when we remember those days? I think it was about that time when people started baking their own bread – for fear that those in the market is not sufficient.
This too has inspired us to start learning new skills during the lockdown since well, we’re home all the time anyway. One of it is – bread making. Yes, we are fairly new at this too. We self taught ourselves through the various social media platforms. From there, we started to experiment with various recipes and flavors for our very own bread. Trust us, a lot of mistakes and failures were made along the way. But, most importantly, we did not give up and continue on learning to come up with the perfect recipe. Slowly and surely, our skills started to improve and the dream of someday selling our own bread began to materialize.
To further upskill ourselves, we have now enrolled in a bread making course – because let’s face it, nothing beats face-to-face learning. It is during these lessons that we are able to explore new possibilities and ideas for future releases.
A dream without an action is just a wish. We work hard and strive to make our dream a reality. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support. We hope you will stay with us throughout this journey as we grow and mature together. Stay safe and eat bread!
